If You Think the Bible is Boring...

I have been participating in a reading plan and I've been "stuck" in Exodus.

...and I hate to say it, but it can be a bit uninteresting...and my mind can wander.

So this morning, I am reading and all of a sudden I run across this verse--

Put the altar in front of the curtain that hangs in front of the ark where the tablets of the covenant are kept.
The ark will have a cover. It will be the place where sin is paid for.
There I will meet with you.

Exodus 30:6


And all of a sudden, I was so excited.

God said He would meet with me at the place where sin is paid for, at the altar.

I simply love that!

When you think about a meeting, it's two people connecting, talking, working things out.

Want to meet with God? Just go to the altar where sin is paid for.

It's the cross of Jesus.

I am amazed at this verse and truly excited. God's word is awesome...even Exodus.
