Benefits of being a Christ Follower

~To Be or Not To Be~

a Christian

To me, this seems like such a no-brainer.

God created us to be in a relationship with Him.

Separation from Him is living life hard

with no peace and no purpose and no help.

To be connected to God through Christ
gives us power, purpose, peace 

and so much more...now and later.

 

We become his children

But to all who believed him

and accepted him,

he gave the right

to become children of God.

John 1:12 (NLT)

Nothing can separate us from God

What shall we say about

such wonderful things as these?

If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

 Since he did not spare even his own Son

but gave him up for us all,

won’t he also give us everything else? 

. . . And I am convinced that nothing

can ever separate us from God’s love. 

Neither death nor life,

neither angels nor demons,

neither our fears for today

nor our worries about tomorrow—

not even the powers of hell

can separate us from God’s love.

No power in the sky above

or in the earth below—

indeed, nothing in all creation

will ever be able to separate us

from the love of God

that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:32 & 8:38-39 (NLT) 

We become a new person

This means that anyone

who belongs to Christ

has become a new person.

The old life is gone;

a new life has begun!

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT) 

We become a work in progress

And I am certain that God,

who began the good work within you,

will continue his work

until it is finally finished

on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

Philippians 1:6

We become a person with purpose

For we are God’s masterpiece.

He has created us anew in Christ Jesus,

so we can do the good things

he planned for us long ago.

Ephesians 2:10

We become free from condemnation

So now there is no condemnation

for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:1

Who dares accuse us

whom God has chosen for his own?

No one—for God himself has given us

right standing with himself.

Who then will condemn us?

No one—for Christ Jesus died for us

and was raised to life for us,

and he is sitting in the place of honor

at God’s right hand, pleading for us.

Romans 8:33-34

We receive peace

Then you will experience God’s peace,

which exceeds anything we can understand.

 His peace will guard your hearts and minds

 as you live in Christ Jesus. 

Phillippians 4:7 (NLT)

I am leaving you with a gift—

peace of mind and heart.

And the peace I give is a gift

the world cannot give.

So don’t be troubled or afraid.

John 14:27 (NLT)

We can go to God anytime for anything

Because of Christ and our faith in him,

we can now come boldly and confidently

into God’s presence.

Ephesian 3:12 (NLT)

When you are in trouble, call out to me.

I will answer and be there to protect and

honor you.

We don't need to worry

Don’t worry about anything;

instead, pray about everything.

Tell God what you need,

and thank him for all he has done.

We receive help when we need it

We put our hope in the Lord.

He is our help

and our shield.

There we will receive his mercy,

We receive strength

We receive comfort

So why are you afraid of

mere humans, who wither

like the grass and disappear?

Cast your cares on the Lord

and he will sustain you;

Leave your troubles with the Lord

and he will defend you

Turn your burdens over to the Lord,

and He will take care of you.

The righteous person faces many troubles,

We receive guidance

We receive Eternal Life

When you die your spirit lives on eternally

 with God.....

(we are only righteous through Christ)

We get a new body

For we know that when this earthly tent

we live in is taken down

(that is, when we die

and leave this earthly body),

we will have a house in heaven,

an eternal body made for us

by God himself

and not by human hands
