SIN IS YOU AND SIN IS ME
It is our thoughts, our actions, our words, our habits,
it's us...
Romans 3:23 says
"All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God."
"All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God."
AND WE DO!!...fall short that is...all of us, you and me...
Falling short is just one sin. No matter how moral or perfect you try to be, you can't be perfect. No matter how hard we try, we still fall into the category or on the side of sinners. Our imperfection is what separates us from God, He is perfect, we are not. so we all fall short...
Our sin separates us from God because God has a problem with SIN
Romans 3:10 says
“No one is righteous; not even one.
WE ALL FAIL
We are born with a sinful nature.
It means that we can't help it.
It means that we can't help it.
It means we have a propensity to fail,
it means we have a propensity to sin,
it means we have a propensity to sin,
it means we all fall short.
WE ARE ALL BORN SINNERS.
and
and
OUR SIN SEPARATES US FROM GOD
SO WHAT IS THE SOLUTION?
OUR SIN CREATES A PROBLEM FOR US
GOD IS RIGHTEOUS AND HOLY AND CAN NOT TOLERATE SIN.
WE HAVE A SINFUL NATURE AND CAN NOT BE PERFECT.
THAT PUTS US BOTH IN A BIND
WE ARE SINFUL, HE IS HOLY.
WHAT DO WE DO?
For the wages of sin is death.....
but
the free gift of God is eternal life
through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23
Thankfully, God sees this dilemma we are in
and because He loves us,
He makes a way for us to get out of it.
He doesn't want us to be "STUCK" in this mess
with no way out.
Have you ever seen your child in a mess
and wanted to help them?
That's how God feels about us
God wants to be reconciled to us and He wants to be
in a relationship with us.....so he did this...
But God showed his great love
for us by sending Christ to die
for us while we were still sinners.
for us by sending Christ to die
for us while we were still sinners.
Romans 5:8
The only way to be in a "right" relationship with God
is through our sins getting paid for.
Jesus was willing to be our sacrifice.
He allowed himself to be punished for us--for our sins,
not His--because He was without sin.
Why did he do that?
BECAUSE HE LOVES US THAT MUCH.
For God loved the world so much
that he gave his one and only Son,
that he gave his one and only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him will not perish
but have eternal life.
John 3:16
That is why God can accept the sacrifice, because
JESUS was the perfect sacrifice.
So when we ask God to apply the blood of Jesus to cover our sins,
we are reunited or reconciled to Him and He no longer "sees" our sin. The blood of Jesus "covers" our sins.
we are reunited or reconciled to Him and He no longer "sees" our sin. The blood of Jesus "covers" our sins.
Is that not the coolest thing?
He sent His Son,
Jesus,
to PAY for us.
Jesus,
to PAY for us.
Think of your sin as dirt and think of the blood of Jesus like water washing away the dirt. That is how God sees it. When He sees the blood of Jesus applied to our sin, He no longer sees our sin, just the blood. That is how we become "Righteous" or in "Right Standing" with God.
Doing this only involves asking,
it only involves wanting and desire, it is being truly sorry for our sins
and wanting ourselves to be covered by the blood of Jesus.
and wanting ourselves to be covered by the blood of Jesus.
REPENTANCE, is wishing we hadn't done it, being sorry,
feeling bad, not wanting to do it again.
feeling bad, not wanting to do it again.
THINK OF IT LIKE A BURNING HOUSE.
To decide to go back to it
would be like going back to a burning house,
you would not WANT to.
would be like going back to a burning house,
you would not WANT to.
Because a burning house has nothing left to offer us.
Deep down inside, in our spirit,
we decide we NEVER want to go back to our sin.
Our flesh may want to go back,
but once our spirit has been reconciled to God,
it will not want to.
we decide we NEVER want to go back to our sin.
Our flesh may want to go back,
but once our spirit has been reconciled to God,
see this page....struggle with sin
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.
Romans 10:9-10
and once you do this, you become restored, reborn, renewed, reunited to God Himself!
He becomes your savior, your friend, someone you can talk to,
someone you can KNOW....
He becomes your savior, your friend, someone you can talk to,
someone you can KNOW....
the actual person who created everything seen and unseen, who actually created YOU while you were still inside your mother's womb wants to have a relationship you and that is pretty amazing.
I can't imagine having anything better happen to me than this.
This is truly a gift from GOD
WHY DO WE CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS WITH GIFTS?
BECAUSE JESUS WAS GOD'S GIFT TO US,
OUR PERFECT GIFT FROM GOD....
It's a way to remember
HIS AWESOME GIFT
OUR PERFECT GIFT FROM GOD....
It's a way to remember
HIS AWESOME GIFT
Ephesians 2:8,9 says
God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; BECAUSE it is a GIFT from God.
Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done,
Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done,
so none of us can boast about it.
Everybody qualifies for this gift, no one is exempt from it,
the worst person you know QUALIFIES for this gift.
and the most moral person you know NEEDS this gift.
and the most moral person you know NEEDS this gift.
We all qualify for this gift and we all "need" this gift
because God says that
because God says that
"He is not willing that ANY should perish...but that ALL
should come to repentance"
2 Peter 3:9
For “EVERYONE who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:13
should come to repentance"
2 Peter 3:9
and
Romans 10:13
CALLING ON GOD TO SAVE YOU IS JUST ASKING -- IT'S THAT SIMPLE
But to all who believed him
and accepted him, he gave the right to
become children of God.
Romans 1:12
From then on, He walks with us down the path of life,
He gives us advice,
He shows us secrets,
He reveals His plan for us,
He watches over us,
He protects us and what He does for us is UNIQUE to us.
Because He made you unique and special and no one can do what God has planned for you to do.
He gives us advice,
He shows us secrets,
He reveals His plan for us,
He watches over us,
He protects us and what He does for us is UNIQUE to us.
Because He made you unique and special and no one can do what God has planned for you to do.
