Do you believe that Jesus Christ is with you?
Do you believe He is helping you and that through Him your life can be changed?
This was my battle everyday for a lot of days, to believe or not believe?
I would ask myself "Is God really there?"
I would wonder to myself sometimes Am I worthy?
And I would answer myself with a great big Noooooo.
And the truth is, I am not--when I am basing the answer on my performance.
But, if I believe the truth about what God says about what He did to make me worthy, then I am!
God went so far as to send His son, Jesus, to die for me while I was still stuck in my sins.
He saw me as worthy of His love.
So the whole point is this.
The reason Jesus came and died for me is because I needed him to.....That is why God is so awesome, because He provided a solution to my problem even before I asked.
I am not and can never be good enough---and you are not.

But God loves us.
My flesh fails on a regular basis.
And the accuser--the devil, assaults me; he tells me I am no good, not worthy and a big fake Christian.
And if it were measured by my performance, I would be.
But as I understand it and where this battle of believing takes place is in my heart, my head, my thoughts and my mouth...
It isn't about what I do, what I did or what I am going to do.
It is about what Jesus already did for me and all I have to do is accept it, receive it and believe it.
A Christian is defined by believing in their heart that Christ died for them...performance doesn't enter in to it.
The only work we have to do is the believing part.
But God loves us.

John 6:29 says "Jesus told them, "This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent."
I am a believer in Christ's blood as payment for my sins and that makes me a Christian.
That is why I have eternal life.
I am so thankful for this free gift!
