Being Kind

Kindness is soothing and it feels so good to be the one
receiving the kindness.

However, according to the Bible, the person being kind is the real winner because  it actually nourishes your soul......

Look at this scripture about kindness in Proverbs.

It is the same one over and over in different translations.

Proverbs 11:17

        A kind man benefits himself, 

       but a cruel man brings trouble on himself.

NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION

     

The merciful, kind, and generous man benefits himself [for his deeds return to bless him], but he who is cruel and callous [to the wants of others] brings on himself retribution.

AMPLIFIED

        Your own soul is nourished
when you are kind,

but you destroy yourself when you are cruel.

NEW LIVING TRANSLATION

        Kindness is rewarded-- 

   but if you are cruel, 

   you hurt yourself.

You do yourself a favour when you are kind.
