No Reason To Fear

Our world is crazy.

It seems everywhere you look, there is--
a nut doing something nutty...
an idiot acting like an idiot...
a fool acting like a fool!!!!!

We can mind our own business, try to get by and hope we will be okay.

We can hope to stay out of a mess or we can look to God, we can literally ask Him for His wisdom....

In the Bible, this is wisdom talking---

But all who listen to me will live in peace,
untroubled by fear of harm.”
Proverbs 1:33 NLT

But whoever listens to me will have security.
He will be safe, with no reason to be afraid.”
Proverbs 1:33 GNT

Now if that is wisdom talking, I want to know "how" do I get it, "where" do I get it.....?

Again, the Bible says, 

It is the Lord who gives wisdom
Proverbs 2:6

For the Lord grants wisdom!
Proverbs 2:6

and this awesome scripture I love so much is James 1:5 (different translations)

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. New Living Translation

But if any of you lack wisdom, you should pray to God, who will give it to you; because God gives generously and graciously to all. Good News Translation

But if any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He is generous to everyone and will give you wisdom without criticizing you. New Century Version

God will give it out generously and will not condemn us for wanting it or asking for it. He "wants" to give it to us -- as much as we NEED. 

To desire wisdom is to want to know how to make decisions about life.

Don't we all need this?

We all need to know how to "do life".

Wisdom is protection from evil and once again the Bible says, it's a treasure of common sense. Think about opening up a treasure chest and finding it heaping with common sense

This is so exciting to me.

To know that I can ask God for wisdom and He will provide it whenever I need it; whenever I ask for it!

We all have to make decisions everyday and if we are getting our answers from God, then aren't we going to make the right decision?

Now here are some of the benefits of having wisdom....I really do get excited to know this is something I can simply ask for and God will give it to me...

For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him. Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy. Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe. Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose words are twisted. Proverbs 2:6-12

I honestly can't think of anything I would rather have.
